Not sure how it happened, but the kids actually requested to go back to the art museum over spring break. Highlights this trip were looking at all the hand dyed woven cloths and seeing a weaving being demonstrated. They even got to practice tying up the rigging. Hearing about how they might try to escape the British fleet by raising and lowering the sails over and over again sounds inexplicably awful after trying this a mere 12 inches off the ground. To warm up we went over to the Boston Public Library as recommended by our guests. The architecture was beautiful. The courtyard, serene. and then endless books a lovely gift to our tired feet.

It was the most awesome hidden gem in Boston. I particularly loved this courtyard with this beautiful freeing statute of a mother and her child. On Friday we got to go visit the State capitol building with our hosts! It is so fun to be in a place where so much happened in the making of our country.

It was so fun celebrating this weekend with my new 10 year old!! Aria changed my life in the most amazing way. So Aria's school class has decided to make the pandicorn their class mascot. So we had a pancakes and pandas party with a little unicorn thrown in. Games included: pin the nose on the panda, cereal scramble, fruit loop bracelets, marshmallow toss, painting nails black white and pink, watching cute Panda videos and a little bit of guesstures. We had so much fun, they even wanted to play each game twice. For food, we had pancakes!!!: Brownie, butter beer and funfetti.
