I'll eat you up I love you so...

On a side note: I'm SO excited to see Where the Wild Things Are. LOVED the book... still do. Extremely fond childhood memories.... sigh....
Now Aria likes it too. I took her out for a little photo shoot. These are the ones that I want to remember of her even though they're not the best edited, or the best photographs.... They capture the expressions she makes. For the best actual photographs that still capture her check my other blog

Little facts about Aria:
*She loves being a butterfly
*She loves Cinderella and Peter Pan. As much as I thought I could keep her away from being influenced by commercial princess stuff, I couldn't help it. I love Cinderella myself. We've also discovered that playlist.com has versions of the Cinderella soundtrack songs and Peter Pan songs so she often asks to listen to Jack-Jack and Gus-Gus
*Her jobs include picking up her toys, sorting her own laundry, and putting the silverware away out of the dishwasher. She can also put her own dishes by the sink after dinner.
*She loves to go get the mail on her trike. We spend a good hour every day riding that thing. She LOVES it!
*she is SO independent. Does not want to be helped... EVER We had to put her cup on the bottom shelf in the fridge so she can open the fridge herself and get it out.
*Talks a ton! Has just started whining sometimes and because her vocabulary is so large I feel like I understand her less than I used to.
*Her favorite songs are 'I am a Child of God', 'Cinderelly, Cinderelly', 'Following the Leader', 'A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes', 'A,B, C...', 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star', 'Baby Beluga', 'If you're happy and you know it.', 'Follow the Prophet'...She often makes up her own words though.
*She loves sesamestreet.org
*2 scriptures memorized working on the 1st article of faith
*Loves reading and has a really long attention span for a two year old.
*Still LOVES story time...
*Smart as all get-out... knows all her letters and the sounds they make... knows all her colors, numbers up to twenty..
*Cried the other day when we tried to take her home from church because she really wanted to stay in nursery.
*POTTY TRAINED!!!!! She just decided she wanted it when she was ready. Mommy tried to do it WAY too early.
*Says prayers by herself
*LOVES to climb she's getting higher and higher on the playground and I often have no idea how she got there.
*I don't know another toddler that likes puzzles as much as she does.... seriously.
*Due to the increasing amount of pumpkins she LOVES this time of year.
*Favorite foods: Cheese Tortillas, Fruit Snacks, Carrots/Broccoli with dip, grapes, apple slices, cherry tomatoes, MAC AND CHEESE!!!, Peanut butter and honey sandwiches, chocolate chips, ritz and goldfish, ICE CREAM and of course milk.

However big her vocabulary may be, it all started with the word "Grandpa!"

To better suit my purposes, I have decided to make this more of a journal. That's what it is anyway, but I see no reason to allow random people to see it. I am going *private* Please leave your email if you are even a casual observer at the happenings in the Pettit household. You are welcome any time. The change will happen one month from today.

crazy, crazy, CRAZY!

Seriously! I feel like I've been running like a chicken with my head cut off or rather with my head in the toilet. I'm finally past the 1st trimester blues... in case you had to read that sentence again... yes, we're expecting! and we're so thrilled. I'm about 16 weeks along and here's a little picture of the lima bean at 8 weeks. I'm due Feb. 28... We find out boy or girl in 3 weeks! yay! Daddy has been super busy in more ways than one. Aria would tell you 'He be on Tonga!' He had an incredible experience. Ask him about it if you get the chance. Here's a few pics of the beautiful island. And no you can't have my handsome husband. Don't worry, he's proud of his super cool glasses.... They get to host a $900 loops light that he won at a dental fair. Yay for winning something super awesome! I'm used to seeing the red rock natural arches and bridges... this one looks super cool too. What Nate calls the 'natural bellagio' - bl...

overwhelmed, excited and bummed

Had an ultrasound yesterday of my already adorable and chubby baby boy. I really just want to squeeze his cheeks. and I think I'm ready to squeeze his cheeks tomorrow. Because he was being so good during the ultrasound, the sonographer wanted to practice some 4d pictures with our baby. Hooray for free! He definitely looks like a sibling. We're so excited to meet this little guy. However in this ultrasound we found out our baby weighs about 10 lbs. right now. I knew he was big, but I was a little overwhelmed at his size. Because of my previous situation, my doctor said that it is now pretty much impossible to try a VBAC. I have to admit that I'm a little bummed. For my own sake I wanted to list some pros and cons pros: A scheduled delivery date and time no hours and hours of labor I won't have the possibility of breaking my pelvis. Or LOTS of tearing I have a great doctor Healthy baby and a healthy mommy Cons: I won't be able to give a try at Vaginal delivery My baby...
