The talk of this trip was that Santa Clara, UT got snow about 3 weeks before we arrived and there was still some LEFT!! albeit in the shade, and it was very icy, but it was totally a miracle that it was still around. I would do Christmas again this way in a heartbeat. We loved getting there in time just for Christmas eve. Here we are in the Denver airport (our layover)
Doing my family's traditions.. We always had a 'Christmas Eve program' full of music and Christmas stories. It has changed over the years, but there has always been some inclusion of singing songs around the piano. Glad to see my kids love it too.. :)
Later we read from Luke 2 and usually have musical numbers to go along with it. When I was younger, my sister and I would make up dances to the Wilson Phillips Christmas album. Now that would be an embarrassing video to watch.. :) We thought we were so cool. This year we taught our kids to sing Away in a Manger a Capella. It was totally my favorite thing that we did. And definitely inspired.
It wouldn't be the same at the Radmall house if there weren't LOTS of games involved.
We also spent lots of time playing 'limp body'. A Jared "the jungle gym" favorite:
St. George got a new Children's museum and we fell in LOVE!! It was so fun! I think that will be a regular event in the future for us. :)
Jared is the character in my family. That's one thing I love about my family. We're always laughing.
We did lots of exercising on this trip. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't love every minute. There may or may not have been some puking accompanying some of these people, and I may or may not have beaten my brother in our "Family '5k'".
Here we are on our "5k"
Don't be too judgmental. I definitely felt a lot more awesome than this looks.
Just love our family being us. Thanks Carly for taking some 'natural shots'
The kids posing.
The "5k"ers. We had fun!!
This is my puppy. She's 106 now. Blind, Deaf, and a little bit feisty. But she always manages to find her favorite place... under the Christmas tree.
She slept with me for 6 years and then greeted me at the door while peeing on the floor and always followed me everywhere for the first 20 minutes I was home. (even the bathroom.) She loved to give me kisses and baths. I trained her to do the only trick she knows and I'm the only one with the personality to trim her face. I loved helping her stretch and massaging her 'sore' muscles. She was there for me when I needed her. My Mom intends to put her to sleep so this was probably the last time I'll see this beautiful dog of mine. I'll miss her terribly.
We had a GREAT time playing Just Dance as well. Jared says you can't win unless you 'REALLY' do it. I'd say he lives by his challenge. :)
The kids played on the swings while we were there pretty much non-stop. and the weather was PERFECT!!
I loved these when I was a kid too, so I just love how much they love them.
Finally a quick sum up of all the instagram photos I did this year. It's been an awesome year. I hope this year is even better.
Happy New Year!
